Mastering

When a CD audio or DVD-video master is submitted for manufacturing product, please include a printout of everything on the master to be used as a guide. All masters must be in the correct sequence, and it should be previewed (by the customer) for correctness before submitting it to us for manufacturing.

CD Audio or DVD-Video
Orders requiring less than a 500 quantity, will be provided with a proof upon request. But no proof is offered for 500 quantity and above without extra charge.

Compact Disc Masters
The CD audio master you provide must be Red Book Standard (44kHz/16-bit) and burned as a disc-at-once/closed session and finalized CD. Swift Music of Nashville offers custom mastering services as well - call or email for price.

DVD-Video Masters
DVD-5 (single layer) can hold 4.38GB (gigabytes) of data
DVD-9 (double layer) can hold 7.96GB (gigabytes) of data

It is difficult to determine the time allowed because a DVD has a variable data rate (among other factors). A typical DVD-Video 5 single layer is about 1.5 hours of video. For a DVD-9 double layer disc, you get about 2.5 hours of video.

Bonus or "Hidden" Tracks or Chapters
If CD-Audio master or DVD-Video master contains bonus track(s) or chapter(s) not listed intentionally on printed materials, we must be notified in writing, otherwise such tracks may get omitted or numbered incorrectly on the final product, and we cannot be held responsible for such omissions.

Manufacturing Process
All of our CD-DVD Video orders (500 quantity and above) are duplicated from plastic pellets which are heated into a lava form, then the CDs are replicated. We are able to produce 65 CDs every 60 seconds. All product is manufactured, duplicated and packaged robotically. Our plant has 48 different production lines at this time, and are in the process of adding several more. For quality control, all CD and DVD-video source masters submitted to us are sent through a check point screening, before the metal masters are created.
